The Abbey of Royaumont, founded in 1228 by Saint-Louis is a classified historic monument, a place of retreat and seminars as well as a prestigious setting for festivities.
The Abbey maintains the isolation and serenity which were sought after by the Citeaux monks over seven centuries earlier. The Royaumont Foundation provides artistic activities such as vocal music and modern poetry. Priority is given to artistic training, research and production.
